Since the Christmas season of 2007, I have created a total of 13 different mixes of Christmas music that (hopefully) provide a pleasant musical soundtrack for you to enjoy during this most joyous time of the year. Since the individual posts for those mixes are spread out over the site, I thought I would post the links to all of them here in one convenient place for you to download.

Ah, Life. Finding oneself. Journeys into the unknown. Journeys of excitement. Journeys of anticipation. And, above all… journeys of knowledge and discovery.
Someone very near and dear to my heart has recently ventured out onto just such a journey and, at this point, the journey has taken them to California. And so, that is the inspiration for these latest two mixes from the RIBS Kitchen. Part 1 is this week with Part 2 to follow nest week (God willing and if the creek don’t rise… {smile})

Ahhhhh… sunshine, cool breezes, warm temperatures, Summer is here at last!
Sorry, to have been so quiet around here the past few months, but sometimes that’s how life goes. I’m sure you all know what I mean. However, no matter how long the sabbatical, it’s always nice to find my way back here again and share the joy of music with you.
Not gonna chat long, cause I want you to get right to the music, BUT I did want to give a shout –out to one of my brothers in podcasting, DarrenKeith, of the great My Love For Music blog and podcasts. Just listen to the intro and that will explain why… {smile}

The first parts were mostly up-tempo, party mixes; just perfect for those summertime cookouts and gatherings. Now, part 3 is for when you want to just enjoy the beauty of the sunset, the warm, gentle breezes and just chill out with an appropriate beverage or two. Of course, a nice warm body to share these with wouldn’t hurt either! {smile}

Cupid’s Hunt 2011: The Look of Love – A Baker’s Dozen

A second entree from the RIBS kitchen for the Cupid’s Hunt event. This time we’re gonna do something a little different and give the “Baker’s Dozen” treatment to one of favorite ballads/love songs: The Look Of Love.
Originally composed by Burt Bacharach and Hal David performed by Dusty Springfield, this song first appeared in the 1967 spoof James Bond film Casino Royale.
Since then the song has been covered many times by a variety of artists. As a matter of fact I do remember seeing somewhere that “The Look Of Love” is number 10 on the list of the top ten most covered songs of all time. Quite a lot of versions! But for our purposes just 13 cover versions will do (12 actually since we start off the mix with the original sung by Ms. Springfield).
So, let’s get to it and take a look… at The Look Of Love. RIBS style. A Baker’s Dozen style.

Valentine’s Day! Love is in the air! And you know what THAT means… it’s time for the annual CUPD’S HUNT PODCAST COLLABORATION event! Whoo-Hoo!
For the 4th consecutive year DJs/Podcasters from all across the USA and other parts of the globe are teaming up to give you the best variety of soundtracks for your Valentine’s Day enjoyment. Personally, this has been a wonderful experience for me and I have made many, many new friends (not to mention the enjoyment of listening to all the great music) due to this event. The time and effort the guys and gals put into this is truly appreciated!
