RIBS: “Valentine’s Day 2007″…
I want to start off by saying that this mix is part of a special “Triple Play for Valentine’s Day” set of music mixes being brought to you by me and my two musical partners EJFlavors and GrantLove (aka SOULcrates). Both of these brothers are outstanding gentlemen and have served as my inspiration for how I have developed my websites over the past year. Stop by and check out their special Valentine’s Day mixes when you leave here.
So… here’s hoping that your Valentine’s Day is full of Love, Joy, Smiles and Happiness. And here are some beautiful love songs to serve as the background music to it all. This one has a little bit of an ‘island’ and/or ‘latin’ flavor to it as I dipped into the archives and pulled a few cuts from one of my favorite male vocalists, Jon Lucien, who starts us off with Lady Love and then also contributes Listen Love and Maiden Voyage further into the mix. Soul Bossa Trio with Rain Flow and Teena Marie with Portuguese Love in the #2 and #3 slots firmly establish the sound and the mood for the mix. From there we take you on a melodic, musical journey with the likes of WAR, Isaac Hayes, John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman and Earl Klugh just to name a few.
Listen, Love and Enjoy!
